We want to alter the Live Support Text link to disapear completely when operators are not online.   We will most likely want to do this with the image link as well.   

Wich files should I alter to make this happen?

yeah, that would work for the image, but what about the text link?  i want to make the text link completely disapear when no one is online

Check out the 3rd variable in <installdir>/lang/english. php.   Change the string to '' and I believe this will do what you want.
