Hey everyone,

I know you all are waaay past due for an update.

After working on v3 off and on for the past year, dealing with personal matters, coders (and lack thereof), we've decided to take another company up on their offer to take integrate HCL in to one of their offers and let them manage the code base, etc.

What this means to you is that you can still work from the present release, and It would be great to see actual code commits and participation in making the present source better.. but, seeing as that's not happening and apparently isn't going to be done as a community effort, version three will be finished by this other group and made part of their web offer.

There is good new and bad news.

The good news is that Help Center Live will continue to be free. This company offers its services for free, so you won't be expected or asked to pay anything. The bad news is that version three won't be open source or released to the community.

I think that the good far outweighs the bad, and have thought about all this for a long time, and the decision finally rested on where HCL is going and how much support we've had pushing out new releases, updates and fixes.

I'll announce the company and their product in the next couple of weeks, and I'm sure you're going to be absolutely thrilled.

To everyone's continued success!

Seems that it's dead again. . . .  I've decided to try to make a new version, but I'm not a super PHP guru, but I'll try to make a version that runs "out-of-the-box" and add a lot of modification. . .  and make it look better as I'm actually a webdesigner.

Can anyone tell me the issues the current version has and try to help me with known solutions for problems so I can integrate those in the code?
I'll also try to add new features, but those are lower on my priority list right now.

I also hope that I can get the support from the original developers, otherwise I'll fork this project.

I've had to dump HCL due to the lack of updates.   I love the product, but since it does not support Safari users, I had no choice but to go elsewhere.   I would def come back to it if it was updated.
