With all possible settings to ensure that operators are notified of an initiation, we're not getting any.

No blinking taskbar icons,
no sounds,
no window auto-focusing.

We're using Firefox and IE and having the same problems. Running Apache server on a Unix system with PHP 4.

I've searched but have no found a solution to this problem. Please let me know what we can do to fix this. Thanks

What version of HCL are you running, note if it's 2.1.2-2.1.4 you MUST apply the hotfix due to a security bug. 2.1.5 should be out this week with the patch already supplied, however we're tracking down one last issue before pushing it out the door.

Also what OS are the browsers running on.

Sorry, it's running Linux (CentOS) and the latest version of HCL, 2.1.4.

Ah, okay - second one to download the hotfix file.

... Okay, file uploaded and hotfix applied.

Haha, ... I thought you meant server software. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate with UAC on. (Not my decision, but that's another long story.) Would that be the problem?

Actually, UAC won't interfere with FF using it either way.  Are the ops getting any notifications (visitor to page, chat, etc?)

Hm, it must be me.

I asked one of my operators to test it for me. He's using Windows XP with IE7 and it brings the window into focus, as it should...

So I used IE7 on my Vista system and it works alright then - it brings the window into focus.

How can this work in Firefox?

Two things come to mind, #1 what java plugin are you using on FF? and #2 do you have have Java and Javascripts enabled in your content section of options?

I tested the software on a test account, everything worked perfect.  Installed HCL on my live site and started to test. Everything worked fine except couldn?t get the ?chat request? to work. Very strange it worked on 1 site but not the other on the same pc. So, I wiped out the install and reinstalled. That did the trick.

So if you are having a problem, it could be an installation issue.

BTW: Awesome Software ? Does what it needs to do perfectly.

Yes, I am satisfied with the software Wink Just a couple little quirks on our end that are causing problems it seems.

As for Java/Javascript, it is all enabled and we all have the latest Java build in our systems to run applets.... is that what you mean by "java plugin"?

Anyway, in the mean time, or just simply as an alternative, I might just use IE for the waiting window. Thanks!

justjerk: No, we've had this problem before our reinstall to the new version, too. But 'ppreciate the input.
