Just a friendly "Hello" to everyone.  A little note about the General Discussion forum.  We ask that topics in this forum not really belong anywhere else, and that you keep everything nice and clean.  Please do not spit on the floors or make the ladies and children blush.  Also, spamming any of the boards with commercial products will at least get you banned.

Otherwise, enjoy, make connections.  Like any open source project, the strength isn't about the developers, it's about the people using the software!

Welcome back!! :)

So glad to see HCL is alive and kicking! I had asked about Mike on the Webhost Talking forum, I was concerned about him, for he had vanished without notice! Glad to hear he's fine and HCL is still on. It's one of the best systems of its kind!

Best of luck to you guys! And if you need help with languages pack, I can do a Brazilian-Portuguese translation for your with pleasure. :)

Thanks Patty.  Mike is still ultra busy (that real life thing always gets in the way).  I have to express my ignorance, but is Brazilian-Portuguese different from regular Portuguese?  I wouldn't be surprise considering how English splintered in the US.

There is a Portuguese Lang file at this point, but as we make changes it may be necessary to update it.

Post by: Patty on June 14, 2007, 03:37:08 PM
Hey.

It's as different as the English from US, UK, Ireland, Australia....  ;D

Small differences, but sometimes one single word can mean something entirely different. For instance, "folder" is translated as "arquivo" for us and "ficheiro" for them. We don't use this word in our vocabulary and some people might even not know what it means.

If you look at Plesk, it has both Brazilian-Portuguese and Portuguese from Portugal. So it's nice to have both packs if possible.

I'm sure you'll need update, so just send me the lang file when you're ready and I'll gladly do it for you. ;)

Thanks Patty.  BTW, keep any eye out, some people just don't know english, and may need help getting their questions out.

Again, it's all about community. :)

I'll do what I can to help. I'm just not having too much time to browse around forums lately, but I'll make sure to stop by from time to time and help whenever I can.

In the meantime, good luck to you guys. We looking forward to the improvements on HCL. Keep up the good work! :)

Hello to both Mikes and fellow HCL members,

Our organisation has been an active HCL user for quite some time and it was sad to see it go away the way it did.

We are currently running the last release of HCL and we have a few little problems with it.

In regards to that, I am happy to see that HCL will be revamped and rebuilt.

I look forward to the first new release with eTicket.

As a suggestion, could an option to disable eTicket module be included as we do not use it and it saves us editing the files.

Any assistance I can provide in testing the new version of HCL, please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Well done and good luck.

Regards,

Dale Evans

Hi Hightekhosting!  Nice to see a friendly face! :)

Well, at this point, we've been pondering what to do about the latest release.  At this point there is very little core involved with getting rid of problems, as you are probably aware.  Of security issues, every one of them involved osTicket (nothing against it, but it was dead for a reason...)

At this point I think we will release 2.1.3RC1 as a release candidate.  This will likely be a very short RC period, maybe a week.  The big issue is if eTicket should even be an included module.  Both eTicket and it's predicessor osTicket require their own setup, and moreover require editing files to activate.  This just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.  It complicates the initial install, and leads to a host of support issues.

For those interested in what is coming up, check out the developers conference. It's probably the spot that has the most spoilers about upcoming versions.

Hi Hightekhosting!  Nice to see a friendly face! :)

Happy to be here  :)

Just to clarify, are you aware of the following issue?

I am logged into Live Admin quite a bit and I frequently get visitors to my site, however, some of the visitors I do not see in the live help window. I can hear the sound that advises me of their presence, but I do not see their details in the window. Is this one of your "reported issues"? If the user hits "live support" I can however chat to them.

I look forward to the RC  :)

Any assistance I can provide in Beta/RC tested, feel free to ask :)

Actually, from what I've found, other then a lag situation which I'm tracking down, I get a notification occasionally when Google or MSN spiders my site.  The other one is where the user has cookies disabled.  Defiantly something to be looked at, I'll get it into the bug tracker, so we can nail it down.

I look forward to the RC  :)

To me, Beta/RC testing is the most important job.  Most projects I've been involved with take more time on testing then coding.  This is due to not many people willing to RC/BETA (can't blame them really) or not enough people who are, reporting bugs as they should.  People need to understand that EVERY bug needs to be reported during this phase (actually anytime but...) instead of "dealing" with it.  I was asked to leave a project because I encouraged people to report "little" bugs.  Hello, what is the point of testing if you don't report? :D

Title: Re: Welcome
Post by: hightekhosting on June 15, 2007, 01:52:57 PM
Well, you don't need to worry :) Just shoot me the RC builds and I will be sure to load and test and report anything I find.

I'm probably being a tightwad and instead of paying for a "paid" solution, sticking with a free one, however....

I believe in supporting those who take the time to support us.

You guys take the time to build an open source project for us to use, why not use it?

Besides, I've found you get far better tech support out of open source because you find much more people using it and the client base is much larger.

When you have a group of people all trying different ideas, you can all generally come up with a good solution.

Alteast with open source, everyone gets some kind of input into how a project can be better developed instead of one company ruling the entire coding process.

Makes for a much better product in the end....or so I believe :)

Title: Re: Welcome

That is why we build it too.  When me and Mike started talking about getting development going, one of my goals was community, actually besides getting HCL back in the running, that is the primary goal.

Isn't it funny that paid solutions tend to be the less innovative?  In fact, usually an Open Source program has an idea first, then it's done on the paid solutions.

There are drawbacks, sure, but stability isn't necessarily one of them.  Just run stable versions on your production areas, and drool over your test installs. :D

So...you going to give me the current Beta or what?  ;D

Title: Re: Welcome
Post by: HCL Admin on June 15, 2007, 05:15:57 PM
Actually, the current alpha has very little difference between what you now have.  Most of the differences are in the installer, and are to compensate for some differences between PHP4 and PHP5.

The other change will be adding a few more hooks into the system for modules, however that happens to be what I'm working on this morning.

Hello,

I just installed HCL and I am playing with it but so far it is going pretty good.  I noticed the hclTicket is going to be released soon along with the v3 and was wondering if there is anyone translating the new version to Brazilian Portuguese already? If there is nobody else doing it I offer myself for the job.

Title: Boots, studs, rock and the dark lady of fashion this winter
Post by: Shandy on May 23, 2011, 06:04:48 AM
The boots in vogue this winter about a young lady dark, aggressive and disenchanted.  The shoe and graceful end survives but must have a retro look that recalls the stars of the past.  The boots have fur, are generally
below the knee and have the air of being comfortable.  They are also worn in the morning because they have high heels are below the knee and can be diluted by the clothes you gucci outlet choose to match.

Moreover, even the simple boots brown can be made ‚Äč‚Äčavailable.  With heels or not, they may have life long on one of the leaders of fashion in the season, the camel trench.  Be sure to Gucci Sunglasses have a minimum of elegance, because the trench should be worn with a waist belt, and is, Gucci Weather Boots very 'soft', at least a little busy.

The red boots are to be recovered.  Absolutely.  Fendi, Prada, Versace and make it a must-have of the night in a tone paired with dresses in all possible variations of it-ruby, fire coral.  You can also dare the total, the Milan fashion shows, Apar 'hot' red Gucci Watches complete.  And as another highlight of next season will be the suit jacket and skirt, you are strongly advised to put aside, perhaps an opportunity for informal morning, the boots simple, linear medium-heeled that seem so trivial.  Will be among your 'friends' gucci online most loyal.

The boots are a part of our gucci online clothing tells a lot about us.  It tells us that spirit we have, if we are earnest and ironic, if we love the elegance or casual.  Or, they can tell each time one side of us, helping to create mystery or give us a 'mantle' of sunshine.  There are several ways to decline their boots in our day.

No such as boots, dark above the knee in the morning: let's say until five o'clock in the afternoon seem out of place.  Better aim at a brown suede boots-with little or no heels for the day.  You will always have that touch you will not be sexy but not vulgar gucci outlet or overtime.  Instead, the boots worn by day if informally in the evening, are not at all bad.  Obviously well-matched and enhanced by a skirt or Gucci Backpacks a particular stock in Gucci Handbags a big way.

The boots may have high heels.  Always have a boot in your area very precious shoes Gucci Belt Bags with high heels, but be prepared psychologically to know that you'll use it soon.  Uncomfortable to wear are very sexy but just a particular wrong to make them vulgar.  The boundary is given
by good taste.  As well as ski suits, which are comfortable but instead you are very 'dull'.  Excellent because of the snow for the rest . . .  are very comfortable without sensuality.

Hi all,

I'm sorry to do this but I'm replying to this topic even as a way of asking for assistance.   I've just registered as a new user as I wanted to post a topic seeking assistance, i. e.  to get a few basic questions answered.   But to my surprise I don't seem to be able to post my topic.   The only two buttons I see on my screen are the Notify Button and one other, I forget what button it was.   But there definately was no "ADD POST" or "NEW POST" button or anything to that affect.

Where have I gone wrong?  Have I missed some sort of step that I was supposed to have followed in order to confirm my account status or something like that?

Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
