Post by: cybergoblin on October 09, 2008, 04:34:04 AM
I am making this post with the intent to have a UPDATED list of translated language files that has been checked by a PHP savvy person to verify security.
I will also host them in a safe place so they can be easely linked incase a site dies or a author cant host it anymore.
Credits to the original creators has been given ofcourse.
I am going to translate HCL into swedish.

Anyone who wish to have a language file posted here give me a PM and i will check it out and add it.

Format of the list:
HCL version: 3.0.0
Not yet released.

HCL version: 2.1.7
English (Included in original)
Swedish (Download) (author: Cybergoblin)**
Portuguese "Portugal" (Download (http://www.cybergoblin.com/hcl/languages/portuguese_pt.zip)) (Author: amedida)

Looking in my language folder that comes with HCL original package i see a couple of language files there already.

Could someone verify that HCL comes with these languages and that they are fully working so i can add them to my post as "included"?

Danish (dansk. php)
Dutch
Portuguese (portuguese. php) *is this any different from the portugal or brazil translations i already linked?
Spanish

Anyone native to any of these languages that can say they are correctly translated to you'r language?

// Best regards Dennis

Hello,

I would like to use helpcenterlive with greek language support. I have translated some terms and made 2 tests:

1. I have used utf-8 encoding. All the conversations worked fine but in the history of chats the data are not in greek. Also in the data base the data of chats are something like: εςφε

2. I have used the Greek encoding ISO-8859-7. I had the same problems.

In both cases I have added in the database class the following code after the connection, depending the utf-8 or greek encoding but with no result.

         mysql_query("SET NAMES = 'greek'");
         mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET = 'greek'");
         mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_CONNECTION = 'greek'");
         mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_CLIENT = 'greek'");
         mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS = 'greek'");

Also in both cases I changed the encoding field in the language file and ine every file that had encoding. Also in both cases the choice [Guest's Nickname] when the name was in greek was not printed right in the window.

Any suggestions are welcome :)

thanks

was a couple of years ago that i worked with making a server and site working propperly for chinese.
But i had to make sure the server (apache in my case) were doing its job propperly and set the correct things in the php and mysql coding.

Most likely it would require 2 things.
Webserver to support the language and the php code to be redone (if it is indeed faulty and its not you'r webhost).

*edit* do you have any other php scripts and mysql stuff that is using cyrillic/greek (i think thats greek text..)?

Title: Spanish translation for 2.1.7
Post by: ramon.cutanda on September 03, 2010, 04:28:29 PM
Hi,

The spanish. php file was wrongly encoded, thus not showing Spanish special characters. It also had some untranslated strings and some of the translation were too close to the original English and didn't sound very good to a native speaker.

This is my corrected version.

Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?d45jnpyc6y3u7ty

Hope it helps.

Regards,

BTW: The attachment system in this forum does not work
