Hi, I am a new user and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to why the canned messages won't work for me. They are viewable by the operators and "seem" to work in that the operator can click the send button, but only the operators name (no canned message) appears in the client's chat box.

Also, once I get this working, is it feasible to insert a %%user%% tag in the canned messages to add that personal touch?

Thanks, newby Steve Smiley

I changes the messages to public and "all" departments (we only have one anyway) and they seem to work properly now.  Smiley

This is a simple fix in the compile/ directory.  Edit the following file:

%%115^%%1156303852^chat_admin.tpl.php

And replace the 3 instances of "message_js" with "message" (removing the _js)

Presto, canned messages will now work.  I think it was a simple typo Smiley

Hmm, double check the chat_admin.tpl in your theme, sounds like there is a typo in it.  Note that ANYTHING in the compiled directory will expire and you'll lose your changes unless you fix the template itself.
