I would recommend that you delete 2.1.5 and install 2.1.7 which you can download from the 'Downloads' link in the header above.

I would recommend that you delete 2. 1. 5 and install 2. 1. 7 which you can download from the 'Downloads' link in the header above.

First I tried to install 2. 1. 7 (download above) but when I run setup i got simmilar smarty error
line 1115 (problem creating directory and line 1279 (file not found)

Then I installed 2. 1. 5 available for installation from within Pesk control panel, which installed successfully but did not run

should I have to CHMOD smatry directory also? I will try it today (for permission I am dependent on host provider)

will 777 permission to all these directory ceate security problem? is it needed only for installtion and can be changed.  If yes what should be permission level
/config. php to 777  (ALL)
/icons/ to 777
/compile/ to 777
/cache/ to 777

Smarty permissions should not be altered.  The icons, compile and cache folders need permissions of 777 to function correctly.  The config.php file needs permissions of 777 for installation only then permissions should be returned to 644.

Can you tell me your server information?  It sounds to me that the errors are due to server configuration.

Yes please.  I need the server info.

Have you added any modules?  Did you install this yourself or have you used your servers autoinstaller?

Please note:

PHP is 4.  4.  7 (I can use 5.  2.  5 also)
MySQL version is 5. 0. 45
Server Version Windows 2003 server
For Register Globals and Safe_mode please browse hxxp: innovativematrix. in/info. php

What setting you want for register globals ? Host company will not allow any change in setting though.   we are using shared server.

As you are using a windows server I decided to recreate your server settings on my PC so I could get the same issues you are having with the install.  Unfortunately, I was able to install HCL error free.

I suggest you contact your hosts and ask them to look into this matter further as I could not recreate your errors myself.
