Can you kindly tell me why the program logs me off? Admin logs me off after a short while (10+ minutes).

Is anyone out there? Help would be appreciated.

I really would like to know why I get logged out and don't get customer's request to chat.
It would be nice if the HCL software doesn't tell me that I'm logged out or disconnected, but the customer connection page says it's open, not closed, when I'm automatically logged out.
This happens with FF and IE, recent versions.

This has something to do with the timeout setting in config.php, but as you'll note from my post - I don't understand it either... try lengthening it though - might help Smiley

Hi,
Thank you for responding.

Here are my config.php settings.
Operatore gets logged out well before 4 hours.
 // Timers
        // The default settings should be ok.

        // The number of seconds the operator can remain idle until their status changes to offline
   // 28800 = 8 hr, 14400 = 4 hr.
        $conf['live_timeout'] = '14400';

        // The number of second to put a chat on hold
   // 600 = 10 min
        $conf['chat_hold'] = '600';

        // The number of seconds the operator has to accept chat before it polls to next operator
   // 180 = 3 min
        $conf['session_timeout'] = '180';

        // The number of miliseconds to refresh the tracker.
        // This checks for initiated chat requests and updates the
        // visitors timer so they do not reamin idle and timeout
   // 10000 = 10 sec
        $conf['tracker_refresh'] = '10000';

        // The number of seconds the visitor can remain idle until they timeout.
   // 300 = 5 min
        $conf['traffic_timeout'] = '60';

        // The number of seconds the visitor can remain idle until their total time on site updates as a new visit.
        // Note that if this is different to $conf['traffic_timeout'] and the
        // user revisits a page after between the $conf['traffic_timeout']
        // and $conf['traffic_newvisit'] period the traffic monitor will not
        // refresh to show the visitor again.
   // 300 = 5 min
        $conf['traffic_newvisit'] = '60';

        // The number of milliseconds to refresh the chat window to check
        // for new chat messages recommended is 3000 to 6000
       // 6000 = 6 sec.
        $conf['chat_refresh'] = '6000';

        // The number of seconds until the chat session times out
   // 300 = 5 min
        $conf['chat_timeout'] = '60';

        // The number of miliseconds to refresh the cobrowse tracker.
        // This checks for new cobrowse, coforms and comarkers activity.
        $conf['cobrowse_refresh'] = '8000';

        // The number of milliseconds to refresh the request monitor to check
        // for any new visitors or chat requests recommended is 3000 to 5000
        $conf['monitor_refresh'] = '5000';

        // The number of milliseconds to show the initiate image
        $conf['initiate_timeout'] = '60000';

===================
I also changed the cookie expiration in the scripts to "0" = cookie expires when browser closes.
This doesn't help.
